The Winter Park subdivision was a phased project that started in 2003. Over the next two years, our beautiful nature-filled neighborhood was developed. For the past 23 years it has been inhabited by tax payers that have enjoyed our quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Now a 70 unit apartment complex is being proposed at the top of Beech Street. This means another potential 140+ residents that will not pay taxes, but will consume resources, putting further strain on an already stretched-thin town.

While the need for housing is recognized, the area that is being proposed is mainly wetlands. Additionally, the town “gifted” this land to the developer in exchange for an office on site. So not only will there be a huge complex built, there will also be a commercial aspect to it.
